Serious Sunday: Google Tabs

Since it's Sunday, I'm being serious. (Side note: I make a point to only do this once a week on the blog. It's much more helpful in maintaining high levels of nonsense). But here's the shocker: in real life, I'm serious loads of the time. Yep. I said it.

I'm a worrier, which I may have discussed on the blog before. I worry about anything and everything. Today, however, I've worried lots about what to do with my Sunday. After all, I finished the first draft of my current manuscript, I'm in between choreography for another good ten(ish) days, and I'm putting off the mundane until Monday. So, here I am on Sunday, with a question of what the heck to do.

Now, it's not the problem you might think it is. I'm certainly not "bored." The problem is, I've put off doing anything purely for the enjoyment of it for so long that now, I have a huge list of things I'd love to do, and I can't decide which one to go with!

The answer? More open Google tabs than any single person can manage.

This is a whole new problem of its very own! So many tabs! So, I want your opinions, Blog Club: is it better to do a little of everything or a lot of one thing? I'm curious what all of you do with your free time. (Besides read other blogs, that is!)

I don't know if I can have a valid answer here, because I've never done a lot of one thing. I've always done a lot of things. This week, I worked, blogged, made chocolate covered Oreos, crocheted two dishcloths, knit a few rows of a blanket, made a card, baked two pies, assembled bookshelves, moved furniture, danced, played with a baby... Yeah, lots of things. And there's still a ton on my to-do list.

What is this thing you call "free time"? ;)

I find I do struggle with this problem at times. Didn't used to so much, but in recent years certain ol' faithful timesinks have been harder to fall into. I used to be able to alternate reading with video games pretty easily. These days not so much. It's a careful, arduous process to find something good to just sit and do. Fortunately free time is not a crisis I have to face often.

I have serious dilemmas sometimes too about THE BEST PERFECT way to spend precious free time. I usually end up watching TV. Lame, I know. But, I love my trashy TV.

Very little free time these days, but what there is I use to either write fanfics or earn swag bucks. Blogging, to me, doesn't count as free time because I write that into my To Do List. Seriously. "Write three blog posts" and "Do social networking" are entries on the latest list.

I love to explore. Whether it's internally (writing/reading) or externally (walking around the city and discovering new places and things).

Always fun things to try. :)

I like both, depending on the day. I think a little of a lot of things makes me happier because is feels like I'm having more fun somehow. Even serious, you make me smile. :-)

A good question. I think we have to have a main task that we come back to otherwise we get totally lost - at least I do. So I open losts of tabs, from twitter feeds, links on blogs and stuff, but I don't look at them until I've finished the one thing I'm trying to do. So do both - one thing and many. Now there's a mind twister.
